Before School
Ages: School age children
Time: Starting at 7am
Breakfast provided
This program is offered to school age children attending the public schools of Irvington and Tarrytown as well as a few area private schools. Child care and breakfast are provided to participating children until they are picked up to go to school by transportation provided by the school districts, as arranged by the parents.
After School
Serves Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, Irvington Public Schools and some private schools (see director for details)
Hours: After school to 6:00 p.m.
Grades: Kindergarten to fifth grade
Homework assistance and computer training provided
Snack provided
Full-day services available when schools are closed or students are dismissed early
Available on early-dismissal days
This program is also offered to school age children attending local schools. Children are dropped off at EMCCC each afternoon by transportation provided by the school districts, as arranged by the parents. Children are given time to work on their homework and other school assignments and are given assistance with homework to the extent possible, and participate in group activities. Children receive an afternoon snack. The After School program makes full use of the outdoor facilities each day, weather permitting. Full day services are offered when public schools are closed or dismiss early, except on days when EMCCC is also closed.
Summer Program
Activities include arts and crafts, dance, field sports, music, tennis, theater, swimming, and field trips.
